About the Role:
They are looking for a motivated and skilled individual to join the busy and expanding team as the head of audit. The chosen individual will need to be a fully qualified Accountant as well as possess experience in practice. Experience will ideally be strong in leading teams on audit assignments. The company works with many of the most exciting and rapidly growing small and medium-sized companies. Subsequently, you will be able to reach the peak of your career through highly stimulating work with high calibre clients.

Responsibilities:
- You will be heading the department, liaising with the managers, and the rest of the team to provide a high-quality service to our clients, and to meet departmental objectives and KPI’s.
- You will be accountable for developing the department, the team and be a role model.
- You will develop relationships with the clients and team so that you are the “go-to” person delivering highly professional and compliant audit services, and to be able to provide technical advice and assistance.
- You will be assisted by our existing partners and RI’s, who will assist you in delivering specialist audit services to your clients and be there as a sounding board for you.
- You will also be recognizing and providing added value services to the clients to help them prosper.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience of working in a medium sized practice working with SME’s.
- Be ACA or ACCA qualified.
- Managerial experience in a practice environment.
- Strong technical knowledge, e.g. UK GAAP, FRS102, IFRS and ISA’s.
- Charity experience would be beneficial but not essential.
- Fortitude and drive as well as a adaptable in your approach to work.
- Knowledge of CCH ideal
- Pro-active approach to tasks whether they are big or small.
