About the Role:
An ideal audit senior candidate will be either ACA or ACCA qualified and possess a good record of audit experience within an accountancy practice. The role itself will involve leading client audit engagements from planning to completion and will also require the supervision of audit teams while on assignment. You will be reporting to partners and managers, who will review all work that has been signed off on and address any issues.

Responsibilities:
- Proactively communicate with key personnel from the client portfolio, allowing for issues to resolved quickly, and any recommendations for improvements to be made
- Signing off on sections of the audit, dealing with any potential problems, and ensuring that the file is fully complete before manager/partner review
- Reviewing the progress of any active jobs and guaranteeing that they remain within budget constraints
- Attain a comprehensive understanding of HAT methodology
- Produce statutory accounts and draft tax calculations
- Undertake a systematic overview to financial statements to recognize any problems
- Oversee audit teams when on assignment
- Head client audit engagements, from planning stages up to completion
Requirements:
- Is either ACA or ACCA qualified and possess strong audit experience within an accountancy practice
- Good knowledge with regards to P11Ds, VAT, corporation tax, and accounting/audit standards
- Understanding of consolidations
- Strong knowledge of paperless audit software and integrated accounts production
- Experience supervising a team and delegating work
- Possess good written communication, analytical skills, and confidence
- Can manage and prioritise assignments
- Ideally some knowledge of CCH, Alpha tax, Xero, QuickBooks, Sage and CaseWare
- Understanding of HAT audit methodology is desirable
